Vintage Pahlavi Workshop Tabriz, circa 1960.
A highly detailed, important masterpiece of rug weaving from one of the most accomplished rug workshops in Tabriz, Iran. Our experience in the trade informs us that very few carpets of this caliber were made in palatial sizes. This rug is in brand-new condition and has rarely been used.
The imperial hunting design is drawn from Persian miniature art of the mid-16th century. Take a close look at the incredible rendering of animals, birds, and illustrious floral styles.
This is one of the great gems of the mid-20th century rug period and the dyes have settled well.
The pile is in perfect, like-new condition.
